The film action takes place within the framework of the Silesian courtyard, which is an allegory of purgatory. The inhabitants of this shrine are unconnected souls who got there with the help of a rickshaw driver - a soul carrier. In this surrealist world, they try to find a substitute for normality, duplicating patterns of bad behavior and creating various relationships. As a result of a series of events, one of the residents manages to get to the other side of the gate.
