As every year, on the spring full moon, the poet Ivan Bezdomny has a rough time. Insomnia, combined with haunting visions about the works of a writer he met years ago in the psychiatric hospital - nicknamed Master - Ivan endures only thanks loving care of his wife. Under her influence, Ivan begins to understand that the cause of his condition, is the mysterious oath he swore to the Master. Ivan decides to confront the Master, desperately hoping to return back to normality.
