Bogdan Tosza

Theater director, publicist, lecturer, animator of culture. He studied Polish philology and art history at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków and directing at Solski National Higher Theatrical School in Kraków. In 1992-2003 he was a director of the Wyspiański Silesian Theatre in Katowice, and in 2004-2006 of the Polish Theatre in Wrocław.

At the turn of 1987 and 1988 he was a scholarship holder of the International Theatre Institute (Thalia Theater, Hamburg). In 2009-2011 he was a director of the festival Łódź of Four Cultures. Since October 2012 he has been a Managing Director of Karol Szymanowski Philharmonics in Kraków.

In Poland and abroad, he directed more than 50 productions. He worked in theatre and opera, radio and television. He is also a lecturer in the School Directing at the University of Silesia in Katowice and scenography at Kraków Academy of Fine Arts. He published a volume of sketches "Pisane na stronie " (2007) and "Stanisław Wyspiański. Obraz bohatera" (2012).
