Dagmara Drzazga

Dagmara Drzazga

Journalist and director in Polish Television, for many years associated with TVP in Katowice, author of documentaries, reports, as well as research papers and essays. She received her PhD at the Philological Faculty at the University of Silesia (2009), habilitation at the Faculty of Film and Television Directing at the State Higher School of Film, Television and Theatre in Lodz (2014).

Documentaries i.a. "Bobrek dance" (2002), "Pekin 2008" (2009), "Lech Majewski. Świat według Bruegela" (2009", Bez jednego drzewa las lasem zostanie (2012), "Muzyka i cisza" (2013). She was also a member of the jury at the following film and television festivals: International Festival of the European Federation of Public Regional Television CIRCOM REGIONAL in Sofia, Bulgaria (2014), International Festival "Al Jazeera" in Doha, Qatar (2012), National Media Festival " Człowiek w zagrożeniu" in Lodz (2011), International Festival of Regional Television in Kosice, Slovakia (2011), International Festival of the European Federation of Public Regional Television CIRCOM REGIONAL in Denmark (2005), International Festival of the European Federation of Public Regional Television CIRCOM REGIONAL in Ireland (2004).

The laureate of many awards, among others:

  • Prix Italia – for the best documentary at the 62nd International Festival of Television and Radio Production in Turin, Italy (2010)
  • Grand Prix Documentary at the International Festival of the European Federation of Public Regional Television CIRCOM REGIONAL in Italy (2003)
  • Grand Prix at the XV International Festival of Regional Television in Kosice, Slovakia (2009)
  • Grand Prix „Biała Kobra” at the XII National Media Festival in Lodz (2002)
  • Kazimierz Karabasz Prize „Cierpliwe oko” at the 23. Polish Media Festival „Człowiek w zagrożeniu” (2013)
  • Award of the Association of Polish Journalists in Warsaw (twice: 2010 and 2015, special mentions for the article 2016)
  • First prize at the 1. Krystyna Bochenek National Journalism Competition in Katowice (2012)
  • Nomination for a Golden Nymph for the best documentary at the 49. International Television Festival in Monte Carlo (2009)
  • Special mentions at the ), International Festival of the European Federation of Public Regional Television CIRCOM REGIONAL in Nuremberg, Germany (2010)
  • First prize in the cateogry „documentary film” at the 27. International Festival for Catholic Film and Multimedia in Niepokalanów (2012)
  • The award for the best documentary film at the VIII International Christian Film Festival in Mińsk, Belarus (2012)
  • Tadeusz Dołęga-Mostowicz Prize at the XI International Christian Film Festival in Mińsk, Belarus (2015)
