Journalist, university lecturer. She studied at the University of Silesia, Faculty of Social Sciences (1977- 1982). Since 1979, simultaneously she continued her studies at the Faculty of Radio and Television in Katowice (1979-1982). In 1987, she completed specialist training in the delivery of television programs at the Lodz Film School.
In 2011, she received the PhDdegree at the Faculty of History and Pedagogics, University of Opole in the field of political science. In 1988-2005 she worked as a journalist for Polish Television SA Katowice Branch, then as an independent journalist in PolskaPresse "Dziennik Zachodni" (2005- 2008). Currently employed as an assistant at the Faculty of Economics and Management at the Institute of Media Culture, Jagiellonian University. She is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Radio and Television, University of Silesia and the Higher School of Tourism and Ecology in Sucha Beskidzka.
Work in television helped her to create a social organization "Association of Supporters of the Globetrotter Club " which has nearly 3,000 members. This organization has fixed in the civic landscape of the Silesian Voivodship, engaging in many social actions.
