Jarosław Świerszcz Villqist

Playwright, screenwriter, theater director of the Polish Radio Theater, film scenographer. Since 2017 an artistic director of the National Festival of Directing Art INTERPRETACJE in Katowice.

Jury member of the Polish National Festival of Theater Arts organized by PWSTIF in Łódź. Jury member of the radio play competition organized by the Polish Radio Theater and ZAiKS.

Lecturer at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School of the University of Silesia and the Faculty of Philology of the University of Silesia.

Since 2019 a lecturer at the Academy of Theater Arts in Krakow and Wajda Master School of Film Directing.

Member of the qualifying committee of the program “University of the Best” by the University of Silesia.

Jury member of the radio play competition organized by the Polish Radio Theater and ZAiKS.

• 2016 - nominations in the categories "best performance" and "best direction" at the 18th "Faces of the Theater" Festival in Polkowice for the play „Lot nad kukułczym gniazdem” conducted in 2015 at the Bagatela Theater, Scena Sarego in Krakow
• 2015 - TELE SPLENDOR 2015 statuette (award of the Polish Radio Theater) in honour of Włodzimierz Ławniczak "for trying to make the world a better place with his art and make people believe it was possible"
• 2014 - Young Angels Theatermakers Award 2014 in London. The main prize for the drama "Helver's Night" at the Theater Cafe festival, organized by the Company of Angels
• 2014 - honorary mention of the jury for the radio play "Anaerobes" at the 14th Festival of the Polish Radio Theater and the Polish Television Theater "Two Theaters" - Sopot 2014
• 2012 - ranking of critics in the monthly 'Teatr' - 'The best in the season 2011/2012' in the category 'The best theatrical adaptation (compilation of the text)' was the stage adaptation of the Villqist's script of the film “Miłość w Königshütte” staged in March 2012 by the author at the Polish Theater in Bielsko - Biała
