The film "Vyraj" (2020), dir. Agnieszka Nowosielska, cinematography Barbara Kaniewska, produced at the Kieślowski Film School of the University of Silesia was recognized as the best student film during this year's Macau International Short Film Festival. The prize was awarded by the jury: Andra Tévy (France), João Francisco Pinto (Portugal / Macau), Jay Lei (Macau).

The Macau International Short Film Festival has been taking place in Macau, China, since 2010. The festival is divided into two competitions: SHORTS - short films in the Documentary, Fiction and Animation categories, and VOLUME for music videos.

This year's edition of the festival was held on December 2-9, 2021. The SHORTS competition also featured "Last Days of Summer" (2020), dir. Klaudia Kęska.
