Between 29.11 and 3.12. six students of Directing and Cinematography form Kieślowski Film School took part in the documentary film workshop “Portrait of a Protagonist” at C-Space in Berlin. The workshop was directed to young filmmakers and photographers from Poland and Germany.
During the 5 days group of 15 students under the supervision of renowned documentary filmmakers Elwira Niewiera and Piotr Rosołowski pitched their ideas and created storyboards of their films, before setting off into the city to film their protagonists. The materials were later on edited in the studio and the final works presented during the last day of the workshop on Friday, 3th December.
The project was possible thanks to the cooperation of the Kieślowski Film School with the Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie in Berlin and received funding from the Foundation of the Polish-German Cooperation, Sanddorf-Stiftung, fsk-Kino and a publisher Falschrum Books.
