Workshop "Paper, photos, scissors. Creating a collage” led by Anna Ryń - a student of cinematography at the Kieslowski Film School in Katowice, as part of the project "New Town. New vision" implemented at the City Museum in Tychy were nominated for the educational Oscars "Sunflowers 2022" for the most developmental initiative for children in Silesia. The workshop was held in January and March 2022. The winners of the "Sunflowers 2022" award will be announced on September 16, 2022, at 6.30 pm at the seat of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice during the award ceremony.

During the workshop "Paper, photos, scissors. Creating a collage" the youngest learned what a collage is and tried their hand at this field, using many different art techniques. The starting point were archival photographs from the collection of the City Museum in Tychy. The photos were used to create drawings and collages that turned black and white reality into a colorful kingdom of children.

Sunflowers/Sloneczniki is a competition for the most developmental initiative for children up to 14 years of age, organized by the CzasDzieci.pl portal - a long-term intermediary between places of education and culture and their parents.
