"Bread and salt" by Damian Kocur with the Special Jury Prize of the Orizzonti competition in Venice

Damian Kocur's feature fiction debut "Bread and Salt" with cinematography by Tomasz Woźniczka received the Special Jury Prize of the Orizzonti competition at the 79th Venice International Film Festival.

A film made by graduates of the Cinematography Course of Kieslowski Film School in Katowice was appreciated by the international jury chaired by the Spanish director Isabel Coixet.

"Bread and Salt" is a story about a young pianist, a student of the Warsaw University of Music, who returns to his hometown on vacation, where his mother, younger brother and friends from the neighborhood are waiting for him.

The film "Bread and Salt" was made at the Munk Studio as part of the Sixty Minutes program funded by the Polish Filmmakers Association with the support of CANAL + Polska and the Polish Film Institute.

The winners of the 79th Venice International Film Festival were announced at a gala on September 10, 2022.
