Film: lab is a series of free professional training courses for representatives of various professions within the directing and cinematographer's departments. The aim of the training is to prepare qualified staff to work on a film set in roles other than just a director and cinematographer. As part of the training, participants will be prepared for such roles as: gaffer, camera operator, Script & Continuity, data wrangler and grip. A maximum of ten participants can take part in each course.
The first series of workshops will take place in October:
- GAFFER 3-7.10 (tutor: Max Pawlikowski)
- CAMERA OPERATOR 7-9.10 (tutor: Bartosz Blaschke)
- CONTINUITY & SUPERVISOR 8-9.10 (tutor: Weronika Dudkiewicz)
- DIT / DATA WRANGLER 6-7.10 (tutor: Norbert Rudzik)
- GRIP 4-7.10 (tutor: Paweł Satala).
During the workshops, participants will have the opportunity to work at the Studio of the Kieślowski Film School in Katowice, the editing room, the location (apartment in a tenement house) and at the Cinelight headquarters. During the practical classes, participants will also cooperate with actors, sound engineers and a makeup artist.
