During the 31st ENERGACamerimage Festival, which was concluded on November 18, Prof. Krzysztof Zanussi, a lecturer at the Kieślowski Film School, received the lifetime achievement award for his significant contributions to cinema.
Zanussi's films, described as intellectual cinema, are known for their distinctive authorial nature, repeatedly winning recognition among jurors at Polish and foreign film festivals. His film, "Camouflage," won the Gdańsk Lions at the 4th Polish Film Festival. In 1980, Zanussi's "The Constant Factor" bagged the Jury Prize and the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury at the Cannes Film Festival.
We extend our warmest congratulations to our dear professor! We take pride in having such an exceptionally creative figure as a faculty member.
We are also delighted to share with you that Dr. Robert Birkholc from the University of Warsaw has contributed a beautifully written article on Zanussi, shedding light on his life and his works: Krzysztof Zanussi with EnergaCAMERIMAGE Lifetime Achievement Award for Director
