On February 16, the Kazimierz Kutz Award ceremony took place. This year's laureate is the talented Polish screenwriter and director - Agnieszka Holland. Jan Olbrycht, a Polish politician, was also honored at the gala, receiving the "Ambassador of Silesia" Distinction.

The competition jury included individuals associated with the University of Silesia: rector prof. Ryszard Koziołek, dean of the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School prof. Krystyna Doktorowicz, and prof. Andrzej Gwóźdź.

Laudations for Agnieszka Holland, in connection with the Kazimierz Kutz Award, were delivered by prof. Krystyna Doktorowicz and prof. Andrzej Gwóźdź.
