The largest media lexicon in Poland

05.02.2024

The Lexicon of Media Terms (2024) has been published by Adam Marszałek Publishing House, the largest publication of its kind on the Polish media studies market. The development of this lexicon involved academic staff from the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School at the University of Silesia, as well as media researchers from the most important Polish scientific centers where media studies and research on media and social communication are conducted.

A promotional meeting for the Lexicon of Media Terms will take place on March 13 this year (Wednesday) at 9:45 a.m. in the Symposium Hall I of the Institute of Journalism and Media Communication at the University of Silesia in Katowice, Bankowa Street 11.

The meeting will be led by Prof. Mariusz Kolczyński, PhD, Director of the Institute of Journalism and Media Communication at the University of Silesia.

We cordially invite all interested parties.

The Lexicon of Media Terms was conceived and edited by Kazimierz Wolny-Zmorzyński, in collaboration with Krystyna Doktorowicz, Paweł Płaneta, and Ryszard Filas. The publication is the result of a project under the "Science for Society" program (NdS/530026/2021/2021) funded by the Ministry of Education and Science.
