The second day of the 21st Węgiel Film Festival is now just a beautiful memory, thank you for being with us! But don't stray too far, because the festival's excitement continues...
Thursday is primarily dedicated to pitching sessions at the 3rd Student Film Market, where we had the opportunity to take a closer look at the idea for a series directed by our student, Gracjana Piechula. Her etude titled "Honey Bunny" has been selected for the official lineup of the 64th Krakow Film Festival. Who knows, perhaps this title will accompany us for a long time to come?
Festival participants also had the opportunity to learn about the possibilities offered by artificial intelligence in the audiovisual industry, with a debate led by Katarzyna Madaj-Kozłowska, Marcin Marczyk, and Joanna Krzyżewska from the Wajda School & Studio. Similarly, in the case of the masterclass with Piotr Bartuszek, the guiding question was: will AI replace the casting director?
Today marks another day of the festival, with highlights including screenings of "Superunit" by Teresa Czepiec (2:00 PM), "Good Boy" directed by Mikołaj Piszczan (3:00 PM, Lodz Film School / PWSFTviT), a Masterclass with Jaśmina Polak (4:00 PM, led by Piotr Domalewski). And for fans of documentary cinema, we have a block of short documentaries starting at 7:00 PM in our cinema hall. See you there!
