Kiosk, directed by Daniel Stopa, received two special mentions in Kyiv (in the Short Film Competition and by the Student Jury) at the prestigious Docudays UA!
🗣 Short Film Competition Jury's Justification: The filmmaker’s sensitivity captures the feelings and the situation. He succeeds in portraying a female bond in a limited space. We give the special mention to a film that, through its framing and intimacy, takes us into a closed space, a space that provides protection while at the same time enclosing the characters.
🗣 Student Jury's Justification: For paying attention to the stories of people that go unnoticed and gradually disappear, along with the space in which they take place. For a wonderful documentary debut and for getting as close as possible to the characters, revealing all their deep feelings.
🎬 The documentary Kiosk was directed by Daniel Stopa, our graduate and student of the Doctoral School at the University of Silesia. The cinematographers were Stanisław Cuske, Józefina Gocman Dicks, graduates of our faculty, and Dr. Hab. Paweł Chorzępa, Prof. UŚ - our graduate and lecturer.
Congratulations! 👏👏👏
