Krzysztof Szlapa, photographer and employee of the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School at the University of Silesia, is releasing his latest photographic album titled "Kraina". This remarkable work includes:
✨ An introduction by Justyna Hanna
📝 Nine essays by Jerzy Orawski
📷 A total of 130 colorful photographs, including nine panoramic spreads
As Jerzy Orawski writes in his essay "Krzysztof Szlapa’s Dialogue with Silence and Space", Szlapa’s photographs reveal the fleeting beauty of nature: “Color here appears as a wild, living, dynamic ‘organism’. One might say it explodes, its excess spilling out of the frame. The intensity of the warm tones (…) mainly resides in the sky, gently spilling onto the mountains, forests, and meadows. These are the colors of emotion.”
The album's official release will take place on May 8, 2025, during the opening of the exhibition of the same name at the Museum of Craft in Krosno. "Kraina" is a must-have for photography enthusiasts, not only for its captivating imagery but also for its beautiful hardcover design with a dust jacket and high-quality paper (182 pages, coated matt paper).
