Statement from the Authorities of the Film School Regarding Prof. Andrzej Fidyk

24.07.2024

Dear All,

Our lecturer, Prof. Andrzej Fidyk, has been accused by the OKO Press portal of an improper relationship with a student of the Gdynia Film School. This matter is of deep concern to the authorities and lecturers of our Faculty. During Professor Fidyk's long career, no complaints about inappropriate behavior toward students have been filed. However, if any of our students, alumni, or alumnae have knowledge of any misconduct by Professor Fidyk, we encourage you to contact the Faculty authorities or any lecturer you trust.

We would like to remind everyone of the long-standing legal principle that every person is presumed innocent until proven otherwise, and only a court, based on facts, has the authority to issue a judgment. In light of the ongoing proceedings, Professor Andrzej Fidyk will not be conducting classes at our Faculty.
