The film "East West" (2020) by our directing student Natalia Koniarz has qualified for the official selection of the 18th edition of the IN THE PALACE International Short Film Festival and will have its international premiere in Bulgaria.

"East West" tells the story of Nazar, who fled the country before the war and is trying to get used to the new reality, which, however, quickly verifies his life plans. The DOP for the film is Stanisław Cuske, our student of cinematography. Karolina Koper, a student of the film production, was responsible for the production management.

The In The Palace International Short Film Festival is one of the largest short film festivals in the Balkans. It has the EFFE European quality seal - for outstanding art festivals, showing their commitment to the field of art, social commitment and international openness. It has been an Oscar qualifying festival since 2017.

This year's edition of the festival will be hybrid. The festival will take place virtually on February 27 - March 6, 2021. Physical screenings of selected films will take place in cinemas and at outdoor events in August 2021.
