During the 17th edition of the CineFest Miskolc International Film Festival, which will take place on September 10-18 in Miskolc, Hungary, the achievements of the cinema of Upper Silesia will be presented.

As part of the prepared program, on September 11 at 17:00, among others, our student short films will be screened. As part of the program, three thematic blocks will be presented. The first will be a mini retrospective of films by Lech Majewski, with the screenings of the films "Wojaczek" (1999) and "Angelus" (2001). The director will also meet Hungarian audience.

As part of the next part of the presentation, dedicated to the Kieślowski Film School in Katowice, student shorts will be presented. The program includes the following short films: My Country, So Beautiful (dir. Grzegorz Paprzycki, 2019), Vyraj (dir. Agnieszka Nowosielska, 2020), Test (dir. Bartosz Toboła, 2020), End of the World (dir. Karol Ulman, 2020), Seal Story (dir. Bartłomiej Błaszczyński, 2020). Animated films produced by Studio Filmów Rysunkowych in Bielsko-Biała have been prepared for the youngest audience.

The presentation of the film work of Upper Silesia in Miskolc is carried out by the Ars Cameralis Silesiae Superioris Cultural Institution in cooperation with the Marshal's Office of the Silesian Voivodeship, Kieślowski Film School of the University of Silesia and the Studio Filmów Rysunkowych in Bielsko-Biała.
