“Slave” by Grzegorz Paprzycki on the 37. Warsaw Film Festival

Slave (2021), dir. Grzegorz Piekarski will be presented in the "Best Polish Short Films 2021" section during the 37th edition of the Warsaw Film Festival. This year's edition of the festival will be held on October 8-17 in Warsaw.

Slave tells the story of Nikodem (Andrzej Chyra), who, as part of the penitentiary program, is serving a sentence in the house of Maja and Łukasz. The couple is surprised to learn that the appeal was approved and Nikodem regained his freedom. Even though they might part, they spend another day together.

The cinematographer for the film is Antoni Grałek. Natalia Pietsch, Maja Zaleska, Antoni Grałek and Grzegorz Piekarski were the production managers. The pedagogical supervision of the production was performed by prof. Adam Sikora and prof. Maciej Pieprzyca. The film was produced by the Kieslowski Film School.

Among the films selected for the "Best Polish Short Films 2021" section of the Warsaw Film Festival, there is also the documentary "Little Paradise" (2020) directed by our graduate and lecturer - Andrzej Cichocki.
