This year's selection of the Student Short Film Competition of the 29th Camerimage Festival includes the film "The Nest" (2021) by Gracjana Piechula with cinematography by Aleksandra Kamińska.

The cinematographer for the best short film will be awarded with the Golden Tadpole - Laszlo Kovacs Student Award and a check of PLN 10,000 awarded by the Polish Filmmakers Association.

The Student Short Film Competition was established in 1997. Its goal is to support the development of young filmmakers and to confront the achievements of students from all over the world. Each year, several dozen film schools submit their best short films to the EnergaCAMERIMAGE competition. The winners are selected by an international jury composed of recognized filmmakers and other representatives of the world of art and culture. The 29th EnergaCAMERIMAGE Festival will be held in Toruń on November 13-20, 2021.
