From the 43rd edition of the Koszalin Festival of Film Debuts "Młodzi i Film" we return with a distinction for a short fiction film!

In the Short Film Debut Competition, the jury distinguished one of our films:

🎬 Beware of good dog | directed by Adelina Borets | cinematography by Paweł Kozak | production management by Kacper Anaczkowski & Iryna Borkovska | produced by the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School of the University of Silesia

Stepan regularly takes in old dogs from the shelter, who spend their last days before death under his care. It’s his own way of coming to terms with his mortality. He dreams of dying in peace, even during the war in Ukraine. But peace is a privilege stolen by a young boy named Gogo. What will happen when two enemies of different ages but equally lonely meet in a cemetery at night? They light joints, eat ice cream, and dance.

Thank you for the festival emotions. This year’s film lineup was very good, making it hard to win awards in such a group! We sincerely congratulate the entire team of the distinguished film and look forward to qualifications for other festivals.

Furthermore, we would also like to congratulate other award winners, our graduates, and current lecturer Tomasz Woźniczka for winning JANTAR 2024 for cinematography for the film "Daughters of Coal" directed by Aneta Nowicka!
