On 25.05.2020 we finish the series of workshops organized by prof. UŚ dr hab. Marcin Koszałka. His last guest will be director and lecturer of the London Film School and American Film Institute in Los Angeles - Rafael Kapeliński. The workshopius primarily dedicated to directing students of our School. He will discuss his feature debut "Butterfly Kisses" which was awarded the Crystal Bear at the Berlinale 2017.
Rafael Kapeliński has made a number of short films since 2006, which have won over twenty-five international awards at major festivals in such places as Cannes, Oberhausen, Austin, New Horizons and Brest. His feature debut "Butterfly Kisses" (production: BBC Films / Film London / Microwave / Blue Shadows Films) won the Crystal Bear at Berlinale in 2017. His feature project "Up on the Roof" won the prestigious Cinefondation Residence scholarship at the Cannes Film Festival in 2008. Rafael Kapeliński has just finished the film "A Woman at Night", which is currently awaiting its the festival premiere. At the same time, he is preparing for the next film, "Diary from a trip to Budapest" that is planned for January 2021.
