The 20th Shanghai International Film Festival Logo

The Shanghai International Film Festival is one of the largest film festivals in East Asia. The first festival was held from October in 1993, and has grown to become an A-category international film festival.

Maciej Pieprzyca, a graduate and lecturer of the Faculty of Radio and Television, during this year's edition of the festival received an award for the best director for his movie "I'm a killer".

36th Koszaliński Festiwal Debiutów Filmowych „Młodzi i Film” Logo
 

36th Koszaliński Festiwal Debiutów Filmowych „Młodzi i Film” has ended on June 24th. The Festival has already been permanently incorporated into the map of film festivals in Poland. As the only one to do so focuses on the latest achievements of the debuting directors.

Among this year's winners there is one of the production of the Faculty of Radio and Television. Dust, written and directed by Jakub Radej, received JANTAR 2017 for a short documentary film. The jury's verdict was as follows: For a material and disciplined story about what we prefer not to watch.

14th Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival Logo

Long years of thirsty and love for cinema resulted in the establishment of Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival in 2004. The film festival was called so as the apricot symbolizes Armenia, it is indispensable part of Armenia: a Latin name of an apricot is “prunus аrmeniaсa” that means “the Armenian plum” and the warm colour of apricot is found in Armenian national flag.

During this year's 14th edition of the festival, viewers will be able to see one of last year's production of the Faculty of Radio and Television. Movie Daniel, directed by Anastazja Dąbrowska, will be fighting for the main prize - Golden Apricot in the documentary competition.

Lusofon University of Humanities and Technology

Lusofon University of Humanities and Technology is the largest non-public university based in the capital of Portugal. The name of the university comes from the word "Lusofonia", which is commonly used to refer to the community of all Portuguese-speaking countries and which are culturally and historically linked. These include Portugal, Brazil, Mozambique, Angola and others, with a common population of over 250 million.

The average number of students at this higher education institution is 11,000, with a staff of 1500 lecturers. The 9 departments that the university is divided into (including the Cinema Department) are filled with students of different nationalities. The Erasmus + student exchange program is also there. Katarzyna Woźniak is one of the exchange students from the Faculty of Radio and Television. On June 14th she organized a review of etudes made by our students, attended by Portuguese students of Lusofony and some of the staff from the Department of Cinema. There were films: Twist&Blood (directed by Kuba Czekaj), Magma (directed by Paweł Maślona), Wolf's Clothing (directed by Olga Kałagate), All Soul's Day (directed by Aleksandra Terpińska).

39th Moscow International Film Festival Logo

The Moscow International Film Festival is one of the oldest in the world. For the first time it was held in 1935. Festival history is usually traced back to 1959, when it became a regular event.

During this year's 39th edition, its international premiere will have one of the production of the Faculty of Radio and Television. “Come and play with me" was directed by Milena Dutkowska.
