Suspense Film Festiwal Logo

Suspense Film Festival in Kołobrzeg is a cultural event whose programmatic idea is a projection of the best Polish and foreign sensational films, as well as an overview of the people who contribute to it. The festival was inaugurated in August 2012 and its host is Tomasz Raczek.

FIRST SHOT is a contest for young filmmakers. The task of the competition is the realization of the author's short feature film. During this year's edition of the festival, 1st place was won by The Return directed by Damian Kocur.

Euganea Film Festival Logo

Euganea Film Festival is the International Festival of Short and Documentary Films. It was founded in 2002 in Monselice, in the province of Padua, to promote the film. This year's, 16th edition, ended on 9th July.

The Return, directed by Damian Kocur, won the Best Short Award for the intense acting performance and the dense and engaging rhythm, which highlights a dramatic fragment of life of a woman and her family without patheticism. The script is essential and complete, telling a powerful story of a hard and sometimes obscure choice of human redemption.

Sopot Film Festival Logo

Sopot Film Festival is an international film festival that has been organized since 2001. The Festival’s rich programe consists of numerous film shows, meetings with filmmakers, exhibitions, workshops, silent cinema live concerts and music events. The Festival presents works of the European cinema as well as the recent and most interesting world cinema productions and world cinema classics. It introduces a variety of film productions as well as renowned directors and their work to the public. It also outlines some of the latest cinema trends. Each year movies awarded at the most well-known film festivals in the world such as Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Rotterdam, Sundance and Toronto are being presented at the Festival.

During this year's Short Film Competition viewers will be able to see three productions from the Faculty of Radio and Television. Splash (directed by Mateusz Znaniecki), Disorder (directed by Julian Tałandziewicz) and Lethargy (directed by Sylwia Rosak) have been selected for the competition among nearly 3,000 entries from over 90 countries.

Pärnu International Documentary and Anthropology Film Festival Logo

Pärnu International Documentary and Anthropology Film Festival is the oldest of its kind in the Baltic countries. One of the main themes of the festival has always been the survival of indigenous peoples and their cultures. But the screening program also includes social interpretations of contemporary society, portraits of interesting people and human relations as well as films on music and art.

The 31st edition of the Pärnu Film Festival will begin on July 3rd. This year, viewers will be able to see one of the production of the Faculty of Radio and Television. The Culture Cultivator directed by Annna Urbańczyk will be shown on July 7th.

The 20th Shanghai International Film Festival Logo

The Shanghai International Film Festival is one of the largest film festivals in East Asia. The first festival was held from October in 1993, and has grown to become an A-category international film festival.

Maciej Pieprzyca, a graduate and lecturer of the Faculty of Radio and Television, during this year's edition of the festival received an award for the best director for his movie "I'm a killer".
