During the closing gala closure of the 7th edition of the International Festival of Film Producers REGIOFUN took place the pre-release screening of the Michał Rosa, PhD, film with Marcin Koszałka, PhD, as a DoP, entitled Szczęście świata. Production will enter cinemas next year, but it was already shown at the Festival in Gdynia, where it won two awards - for the music and set design.

The film is a story about the inhabitants of a tenement house and cultural diversity of the pre-war Upper Silesia.

The Culture Cultivator documentary, produced by the Krzysztof Kieslowski Faculty of Radio and Television, has been selected for the competition at the 22. International Film Festival in Drama (Greece), which starts on 19 September. The film directed by Anna Urbańczyk and cinematographed by Maciej Czułowski is the only Polish title in the competition program. The screening in Greece will be the international premiere of The Culture Cultivator.

The protagonist of the film is Daniel, creator of street art painted on barns and bus stops. He arrives to his native village to realize a new project. For this purpose he must face the apathy prevailing in the country and the isolation of its inhabitants. Daniel does not give up and while appealing to the spirit of community with the memories of a mysterious animal and ghosts, he prepares the opening of The Bus Stop.

Film What I Want, produced by the Kieślowski Faculty of Radio and Television, was awarded as the best feature film in the Off Competition during the Solanin Film Festival which ended on 21 August and took place in Nowa Sól. This is another success of the film directed and cinematographed by Damian Kocur, presented so far during almost 30 festivals in Poland and abroad. What I Want was already awarded, among others, in Belgrade, Bydgoszcz, Gdynia, Łagów, Katowice and Olsztyn.

During the Solanin Festiwal the nominations for the next year's edition of the Jan Machulski Polish Independent Film Awards were granted. Two of them were received by the filmmakers of What I Want:

• in the category for the Best Screenplay the nomination was received by Damian Kocur
• in the category for the Best Actor the nomination was received by Ariel Makara

During the 27th International Short Film Festival in São Paulo (Brazil) starting on 24 August the international premiere of the film Disorder, produced by the Faculty of Radio and Television, will take place. The film was produced by the students of WRiTV Julian Tałandziewicz (script, direction and editing) and Maciej Kwasniewski (cinematography).

Disorder is a story told without any words of a librarian who snatches of life lethargy after a seemingly trivial event and awakens the hitherto dormant desires. The film was previously presented at the Lubuskie Film Summer in Łagów where it received the Silver Grape in the Short Feature Film Competition
