Sopot Film Festival is an international film festival that has been organized since 2001. The Festival’s rich programe consists of numerous film shows, meetings with filmmakers, exhibitions, workshops, silent cinema live concerts and music events. The Festival presents works of the European cinema as well as the recent and most interesting world cinema productions and world cinema classics. It introduces a variety of film productions as well as renowned directors and their work to the public. It also outlines some of the latest cinema trends. Each year movies awarded at the most well-known film festivals in the world such as Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Rotterdam, Sundance and Toronto are being presented at the Festival.
During this year's Short Film Competition viewers will be able to see three productions from the Faculty of Radio and Television. Splash (directed by Mateusz Znaniecki), Disorder (directed by Julian Tałandziewicz) and Lethargy (directed by Sylwia Rosak) have been selected for the competition among nearly 3,000 entries from over 90 countries.
