Maciej Pieprzyca's new film 'Ikar. Legenda Mietka Kosza” is inspired by real events of the blind genius of the piano. Mietek, in this role Dawid Ogrodnik, as a child loses his sight. His mother puts him under the care of the nuns in Laski. In the center for the blind, the boy discovers what music can become for him, and that throught it he can see and tell the world again. Mietek will be a great classical pianist. However, when he discovers jazz - he has only one goal: to become the best jazz pianist in Poland. He becomes more and more successful, not only in Poland, but also in the world. He even wins the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival. Nothing suggests a tragic premature death.

The film will be from October 18, 2019 in the cinemas.
