In this year's edition of the Quebec City Film Festival in the short film competition the films were evaluated by a three-member Jury composed of Charlotte Aubin, Iannicko N'Doua and Alexandre Isabelle, who decided to award the Dust directed by Jakub Radej (DoP Józefina Gocman, prod. Krystyna Dobrzańska).

Founded in 2011, the Québec City Film Festival (QCFF) is a non-profit charity that strives to offer film enthusiasts a large film event similar to other iconic international film festivals.

From the very beginning, every year the Festival presents about 50 international feature films and 120 short films from different countries, representing all genres of cinematography.

"Dam" wins the International Film Festival DOZWOLONE DO 21. This is already the second prize for very young artists Natalia Koniarz (director) and Stanisław Cuske (DoP).

The International Film Festival DOZWOLONE DO 21 is a competition addressed to young filmmakers under the age of 21.

The idea began in 1983 on the initiative of the Federation of Independent Filmmakers and gained recognition in the environment of young filmmakers. The Festival enables the transfer of amateur films to the big screen, as well as the integration of the young filmmakers' milieu and the exchange of experiences. The competition is open, and applications from both Poland and around the world are welcomed.

During the Young Gala on the New Stage of Musical Theatre on Friday 21. September 2018, Jury oft he Short Film Competition composed of:

  • Maria Sadowska
  • Norah McGettigan
  • Leszek Starzyński

choose the winners oft he Competition.

Lucjan Bokiniec Award For The Best Film in The Short Film Competition was awarded tot he director Dominika Gnatek for her film „Sophie’s Ordinary Life“ (DoP. Mariusz Rychłowski, prod. Anna Oryl). Jury motivated its choice: „for the topic, great acting and expertise as well as tackling difficult matters in a warm and unpretentious way“.

The SOLANIN FILM FESTIVAL has just started and our productions can be seen in the Off Film Competition:

SOLANIN FILM FESTIVAL is an off-film festival. Solanin presents primarily independent productions as well as films from Poland, Europe and whole word. The 10th jubilee Solanin Film Festival will take place on August 22-26, 2018 in Nowa Sól.

Beata Dzianowicz's new film "On The Run" is among 19 films in the debut competition at the Montreal World Film Festival.

The Festival is one of the oldest international film festivals in Canada and the only film festival in North America accredited by the FIAPF.

The goal of the Festival is to promote cultural diversity and understanding between nations, supporting cinema on all continents.
