As part of Papaya Young Directors, a meeting with Jan Forys will take place at our Faculty, which will present the terms of the competition.

PYD is the only such competition in Europe for young directors enabling direct entry into the profession in the film industry.

So far five editions of the competition have been held when 80 films for 31 sponsors were realized.

The competition is addressed to students and graduates of film, art, and humanities schools, amateur filmmakers as well as people without a degree in the age range of 20-35 (counted annually).

Natalia Pietsch with an award

Natalia Picz won the award for best cinematography at the Küstendorf Film & Music Festival for the film "I have something for you".

Congratulations to the whole team, dir. Iwo Kondefer and the producer Natalia Włodarczyk.

At the Küstendorf Film & Music Festival, there were two more of our productions in the competition.

The first doctoral dissertation in the new Faculty building was a PhD of Tomasz Gudzowaty, MA.
Mgr Tomasz Gudzowaty defended his work: artistic work photo album "Proof" and theoretical doctoral dissertation entitled: "Aesthetics in the transcendental assessment of polaroid photography subjected to partial biodegradation".

Paszporty Polityki

Rafał Milach, our lecturer, was nominated in the Visual Arts category and our graduate Agnieszka Smoczyńska in the Film category for Paszport Polityki Award 2018.

This is the 26th edition of this award. It is awarded in the following categories: film, theater, visual arts, literature, classical music, popular music, digital culture, and the creator of culture.

The "Polityka" Passport Gala will be held on January 8, 2019 at the Polish Theater in Warsaw.
