24 short films from all over the world were qualified for the Authors Spotlight competition of the 13th edition of the Kamera Akcja Film Critics Festival. Among them are 2 shorts produced at the Kieslowski Film School in Katowice.

The 13th Kamera Akcja Festival will be held on October 13-16, 2022: stationary in Łódź and online on the Think Film platform (October 17-20).

Our films in the Authors Spotlight Competition:

Moreover, in the non-competitive section of student shorts on the Think Film platform there is a film "Shiver" (2022), dir. Joanna Różniak with cinematography by Łukasz Łatanik. Jakub Lebiedziński was the production manager of the film.

The event is organized by the FKA Foundation with the support of the City of Łódź Office, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the Polish Film Institute and the University of Łódź. The films will be shown in the screening rooms of the Lodz Film School. Some of the events are also planned in the nearby Museum of Cinematography.

Belmondawg music video - "P.S.W.I.S." (DJ Eprom remix) directed by Julian Tałandziewicz with cinematography by Maksymilian Plater in the production of Nanimo Films (executive producer Małgorzata Turek) was nominated for the Grand Video Awards 2022 in the music video category. The winners of the competition will be announced at the gala that will take place on October 13 at 8:00 p.m. at Kino Luna in Warsaw. The entire event will be broadcasted live on WP.pl, press.pl and on the Press and GVA channels on Facebook.

The idea behind the Grand Video Awards is to honor the creators of the most innovative video materials, promote the best creativity in the Polish network, and create a space for the representatives of the largest brands to meet with video makers.

35 films have qualified for the Main Short Film Competition of the 20th Opolskie Lamy Film Festival. Among them, there are 5 shorts produced at the Kieślowski Film School in Katowice. The 20th edition of the Opolskie Lamy Film Festival takes place on October 7-15, 2022 in Opole.

The Main Competition is the essence and the most important part of the Opolskie Lamy Film Festival. Short films made by students and graduates of film schools, as well as film-related courses, take part in it. For many years, the Opole festival has been giving young artists from all over Poland the opportunity to present their skills to a wider audience. Thanks to hundreds of short film submissions, the festival jury (composed of organizers and professional filmmakers) can determine what trends are emerging in Polish cinema in the field of animation, documentary and fiction.

The official inauguration of the 2022/2023 academic year will take place on October 7, 2022 (Friday) at 10.00 in the cinema hall, in the building of the Kieślowski Film School at Paweł Street 3 in Katowice.
